recovery macbook pro 2011 17inch

Hi everybody

i have an early 2011 macbook pro 17 inch.

i've installed windows 7 with bootcamp and every thing was fine until i converted my disk from basic to dynamic by mistake and such a mistake will make the disk non-bootable.

fortunately i reconverted my disk to basic and ive installed my windows 7 again and it worked properly. i have downloaded OS X Mavericks DVD dmg file as well but when i put the disk in and boot from that in verbose mode it says:

AppleUSBMultitouchDriver::checkstatus - received Status Packet, Payload 2: device was re initialized

still waiting for root device

still waiting for root device 😐

i think it has nothin to do with my touchpad and problem is my disk (tell me if im wrong)

I've deleted all other partitions including windows 7 but the problem is still there and i think its about the disk not formated Journaled for mac os and the only utility for that is Recovery Disk Assistant and its only can be created from another mac device but the problem is i dont have any other mac devices to create that i just have windows and fedora clients and NO OS X !

Internet recovery not working to it shows an error: -2100F

what can i do? is there any way to create one from windows? or download an iso image of one and burn on a dvd so i can boot from that?

thank you for the time you spent 😀

Based on you descriptions it appears that the internal HDD should be reformatted.

An early 2011 MBP came with Snow Leopard as the original OSX and should have had the two installation disks included. It appears that you are the victim of an error on part of the seller.

With a Snow Leopard installation disk you can access the internal HDD, repair it or if necessary, reformat it. Duplicates can be ordered from Apple customer service. They will require the serial number of your MBP and there is a charge.

Ciao.

actually im in iran and this kind of things are ordinary 😟

apple does not support shipping disks here either.

i've selected internet recovery again with another ISP internet and this time a progress bar appeared and i think its downloading assets for recovery.

so when it came i should just create a formatted partition for OS X Journaling and restart my MBP and put mavericks and install?

Im not able to set MBP free to download the whole mavericks OS from the internet recovery.

i just went into internet recovery and reformatted my whole disk to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then i have putted mavericks installation disk that i've downloaded earlier. the only things that im suspected right now are two:

1. the disk that ive downloaded is not compatible with MBP A1297

2. Mavericks need some sort of drivers for MBP A1297 Touchpad.

So do you think the problem is formatting the drive?

Every Mac computer made before mid 2011 which came originally with Lion came with OS X reinstall discs.

So IF your MBP originally came with Snow Leopard installed it came with system reinstall discs. Whether you ever took them out of the box, before you threw the box away, is an unknown.

You will need those discs or a replacement set you can order from Apple at a small fee.
