Nov 5, 2014 6:37 AM in response to Bl@ckR0ckby RenfromLA,There really needs to be a way to change the "hey Siri" command. When one has 2 iDevices, they activate at the same time. We either need a cydia tweak or an update. But no more updates. Some fix this in Cydia, please.

Dec 28, 2014 8:46 PM in response to RenfromLAby RenfromLA,There must be a way to manually change the "hey siri" in the code. But in the txt files it not "hey siri" its something strange like "@%". This must be defined somewhere else in the code! Anyone?

Dec 28, 2014 9:24 PM in response to Meg St._Clairby RenfromLA,Of course there is. They programmed it so if someone can find the code, it can be changed. They probably did a job of hiding it (e.g., "@%" instead of "hey siri" in the code.

Dec 29, 2014 5:35 AM in response to RenfromLAby Meg St._Clair,Let me rephrase: No, you can't change it without removing the protections on the phone, leaving it open to malware and voiding the warranty on the phone. And, depending on how it's coded and encrypted, you may also run afoul of copyright laws by changing it.

You must be talking about a different company with the same name. Apple allows very little in the way of modifications of iOS. They restrict acces to many of the APIs. This is why the Android OS and jailbreaking are popular among people who like to tweak the UI. Apple doesn't approve of either one.

I'm not sure why I'd want to do that but, hey, if it amuses you and you don't feel bad about annoying people, have at it. Though, come to think of it, I rarely see people with their iPads plugged in in Starbucks (where I spend way too much time and money). The advantage of great battery life.

Jan 21, 2015 7:01 PM in response to deggieby RenfromLA,We should all give up on this conversation. Looks like we are stuck with "Hey Siri". Although, It would be fun to walk up to someones plugged in iPhone and say "hey siri, text my wife. I want a divorce b*&ch!" lol If you've noticed, you don't have to say "Hey siri" and wait for siri to activate. You can just say "hey siri (and any command)" in one sentence and it does it. Of course, the person would have to be away from their phone and the phone would probably have to be unlocked.
