Audio syncing

I've been on FCP since the beginning, but I'm fairly new to X.

I'm really liking it, but have a question on how to best sync my externally recorded audio to my video clips.

My workflow flow now is to find the best video takes, Favorite them, and then to find the associated audio clips, and favorite them. Then, in the favorites section select the audio and video and sync. Of course this works, but it seems clunky when compared to how everything else is so streamlined in FCPx.

Is there a better way to do it?

I edit a weekly TV comedy, and I start each episode tons of separate audio and video. All are separated by scene in folders. A folder for audio and one for video.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

There are key words you can assign and then when you click on the key in the event, it only shows you those assets. So instead of having all of the favorites together, you can have just the ones with "Scene 3", etc.

What I've been doing is changing the names of all my assets to the slate info. It doesn't take that long and it speeds things up quite a bit later on. I just put the event in list view and go down the list with the down arrow, press return, type in what's on the preview above with the slate...

5a 1

5a 2

5a 3

5b 1

5b 2

And then I sort by name and all of the assets for each setup are next to each other.
