Use augmented account for authentication from LDAP-bound web application

Is it possible to authenticate to an augmented user account from a web (server) application bound to an Open Directory master (10.9) on a dual directory setup with Active Directory using a DN like so: uid=User:aduser,cn=augments,dc=example,dc=com ?
