How many users are in your Directory, just out of interest?

As with any migration / translation / upgrade...  Things will always get lost / mixed up.

My suggestion is to weigh the amount of trouble shooting time you're going to spend, vs how much time it would take to nuke and pave your directory.

When I migrated my server from 10.6.8 to 10.9, the password file actually worked!!!!

But by no means did I trust it.

I deleted it and just forced my users to reset their passwords on first log in.

aalbertogv: Which alert are you seeing?  Server.app does sometimes get a notification (red) alert stuck on the icon, and I've reported that as a bug to Apple.

The only way I've encountered that can clear that stuck red alert is to reboot the system that's running Server.app.

If you're seeing some other alert, can you provide some other details around what you're seeing, and what you've tried when attempting to clear the alert?

gracoat: that text you're reading is likely originating from the Apple forums software, and it's a guess as to what the OP was asking about.
