iPod Touch 2nd Generation disabled for 23 million minutes (44 years)

My iPod Touch 2nd Gen is disabled for 23,148,500 minutes (44 years). I have tried resetting it in recovery mode more than once and it didn't work. Has anyone encountered the same problem or know how to resolve the issue?

The above photo shows the screen on the iPod saying "iPod is disabled - try again in 23,158,502 minutes"
