Cannot access Anquet Maps since latest up-date

Have been running Anquet Maps on Mac for a number of years and up until OS Maverick 10.9.4 was able to access and run software, since installing 10.9.5 I can no longer open the application. Now have several hundred pounds worth of OS maps with routes I have planned or done which I can currently no longer access. Anyone had the same problem, either with Anquets or other applications, and if so, any success in solving this?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Have tried various options, like downloading 10.9.4 to try to re-install - was not allowed (if I was a computer Geek I'd probably have known that was not an option), so I considered the possibility was that the up-date instal was not correct, so went looking for 10.9.5 download, found it on OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 Update (Combo), downloaded, installed (no problem!) and Anquet opens up and functions as it did before. As the original up-date was done via auto up-dates, I cannot be certain, but I'm guessing it wasn't "Combo", whatever that indicates. All I can suggest is try it - can't damage what isn't working! So far everything else working correctly - hope that isn't going to be another "curse of the commentator" or "spoke too soon"!
