Water spilled through left speaker...

HI- about 20 min ago I spilled water through my left speaker on my MacBook Pro 17". I flipped it upside down immediately, and a little water seeped out of one of the keyboard keys. The amount of water spilled through the speaker was very minimal... About an eighth of a teaspoon. I just want to be safe-any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), 17"

I would open the MBP and let it dry with a fan assisting the drying process. I hope that you turned of the MBP as soon as possible. Wait about 24 hours and then turn it on.

The amount of water is not an indicator if serious problem will or will not occur. A few drops in the 'right' place can short circuit the logic board and rendering the MBP useless.

Ciao.
