Q: Clear recent locations in Calendar for iOS 8

Hi Apple users,

I am currently having an issue with a long list of RECENT LOCATIONS in my Calendar (Apple's Calendar app), when creating a new event.

After the iOS 8 update, whenever I create a new event in Calendars and inputting a new location, iPhone saves that location as a recent location.

So now when I create another NEW event and input a location, it will appear a list of recent locations that was saved from my previous event entries.

After creating 15 different NEW events with different locations, the list of recent locations starts to build up and gets very messy.

I have tried many ways to clear/remove those recent locations but it does not have any option for me to do so.

Apple, please make an option or a setting where we could easily remove recent items, whether its recent locations/contacts, etc.

But this is the current issue I am facing and I hope someone has figured a way to clear all the recent locations in the Calendar App whenever creating a new event.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks guys!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8

I have the same problem.  Since there is still no solution. How do I submit a bug report to Apple?

I have the same problem even with accidental posting of event locations... This should be an easy fix for the tech gurus

Nothing new with the latest version of iOS 9. It's been a while now ! But I keep hope to clear one day that old locations from both calendar and reminders apps...

Same question here. My list grows and grows and gets more and more confusing.

Even when executing a complete reset without putting the backup back into the iPhone the data shows up as soon as I connected with iCloud. It looks the data is stored in iCloud and coming in again and again?

    Deleting any contacts brings nothing.

@Apple, please, when will this be solved?

I addressed this with Apple Support one day while my wife was having issues resetting her password - I took advantage of the "Can I help you with anything else?" portion of the phone call.  He confirmed this as well on his iPhone, and I stressed to pass this onto the engineers.

The recent calendar locations do disappear when signing out of your iCloud account (or not even signing into it) from whatever device you are using.  Once signed back in, they reappear.  I proved this with a brand new iPad Mini that I had gotten for Christmas - out of the box, everything was clean.  But once associating my iCloud account with the device, I found those stubborn locations appearing back in the Calendar app... even with no contacts on the device.

Furthermore, I have no Calendar archives from https://www.icloud.com - yet somehow the locations remain.
