i have an iPhone 5 and not all of the pictures I take automatically transfer to my iPad, lots do but not all of them. Why is this what do I need to do to get them all to come across.

I definitely understand wanting to have the same pictures on all of your devices. It sounds like you are using PhotoStream to accomplish this. In this situation I would recommend the troubleshooting steps and information located in the following two articles.
