So this morning I saw an ios 8.0.2 software update notification on my iphone 4s running ios 7.1.2. It was not even connected to the internet and I havent even checked for the update manually. Anyway now theres a little badge on my settings app and inside it. It's just so annoying and it bothers me. I was wondering if there is anyway to remove this without resorting to you know what or updating the software? Thanks

That's all well and good for most, but the few of us that have 8GB iphones don't have the capacity to download an update that requires 4.7GB of storage space.
Plain stupid having an update that large, iirc the previous big update 7(?) was rather large too 😠.
So I guess this will stay forever 😟 since i don't want to update my iphone. Updating it to ios 8 is probably gonna make it sluggish like the iphone 4 on ios 7
You can update using iTunes on your computer. It's actually faster than the over the air update, and there's less risk of problems during and after the update.
