When you are on a carrier that has a policy of not unlocking the iPhone you have two options: stay with that carrier or sell the iPhone. Jailbreaking is not an option as doing so voids ALL support from Apple, including help on these discussions per the Terms of Use.

You will need to deal with the shop that tried to jailbreak your iPhone. Also be aware that should you ever try to upgrade the iOS, the iPhone will lockup and be unusable after it is jailbroken.

OK, but you still have to deal with Vodafone as that is the carrier the iPhone is locked to. Simply doing a fraud or theft check does not satisfy the Apple License Agreement and Terms of Use for the devoice, they are both very explicit that hacking or jailbreaking or altering the physical characteristics of the device void all support and service.

There just isn't anything anyone on here can do to rectify the situation.
