I've had a couple of chargers since I got my iPhone 5 a year ago. I've always bought a new charger, but lately someone brought to my attention that Apple can replace your charger for free.. I'm just wondering if that's true.

If the iPhone has been covered by an extended warranty beyond the one year so that it is still covered and the charger is not damage but has a problem with materials or workmanship then yes Apple will cover it.
If you phone Apple Support they may be able to do something for you by mail if you ask nice.
Would Apple be the only ones who could replace it..? Or can future shop as well do it. The closest apple store from here is about an 1 hour away and I'm not sure if it's worth the gas money..
