I just bought a used Iphone 5 for ATT and it came with no SIM, I want to use it as an Ipod touch. I heard that you can use a SIM from another's iphone for a few minutes just to activate it; I did that with my friends Iphone 5c SIM and it still said NO SIM, what is wrong?How do i activate it? And How can I solve this problem?

Is your friend's phone from AT&T? You would have to use an AT&T SIM for an AT&T phone. Otherwise, here is the support document for using a phone as an iPod without wireless service. Using an iPhone without a wireless service plan
Yea my friend's phone is AT&T and so is the one that I bought but I don't know why it won't work.
You can try this support document If you see 'No SIM' alert on iPhone however, if that doesn't help, then I suggest contacting AT&T again, as one of their SIMs should work on the device. See what they have to say.
