How to go forward 1 second in Final Cut Pro X??

Hi,

Does anyone know how to create a keyboard shortcut to jump the playhead forward 1 second in Final Cut Pro X?

In previous versions it was "shift" + "right arrow", but now that has inexplicably and uselessly become "Go forward 10 frames" and I can't find the option to change the amount of frames or simply make it the useful "Go forward 1 second".

Please tell me there's a way to do it just by tapping and not by having to type in the amount of seconds you want to go forward!

Thanks in advance,

T.

No need to make a feature request - it's all there already.

Press Shift + Cmd 'A' to make sure nothing is selected (otherwise you'll move that, rather than the playhead).

Press the + key, then 1. (figure one and the full-stop or period key) and the playhead will go forward one second. If you skip the period, the playhead will go just one frame.

The minus key works the other way, and you can specify however many frames either way you want just by pressing + or - and the number of frames.

AFAIK, it's been that way since 10.0.

Yes - sorry about that Russ. I re-read the original post and realised my mistake but when I tried to edit the post it wouldn't save for some reason.

(What HAVE they done to this forum? Someone needs to do a feature request to get the old one back - the search wasn't great on that one, but it's pretty terrible on this new one).

This morning it wouldn't let me post because it recognized me as a banned poster.

I signed out and switched browsers. Kind of funny…if one has time to waste.
