I messed around with Remote. Changed mind. How do I get my AppleTV to recognize my handheld remote?

HHow do I get ApleTV to recognize me handheld remote. I messed around with Remote App in iphone. Want to reset to original setup

If you have the aluminum Apple Remote, press and hold the Menu and Right buttons for 6 seconds.

For the white Apple Remote, press and hold the Menu and Next/Fast-forward buttons for 6 seconds.

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.
