Q: MacPro: How can I achieve 2560 x 1600 on my MacPro & Hazro monitor?

How can I achieve 2560 x 1600 on my Hazro HZ30W monitor? I have the powered Dual Link Adapter and the Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/B/mini-displayport-to-dvi-adapter?fnode =51) from Apple and neither do the job on the MacPro. Both achieve 1280 x 800 only. That's £125 of cables and no decent resolution.

I must point out that using the Powered Dual Link adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-ada pter?fnode=51) from Apple I can get 2560 x 1600 on my old MacBook Pro. Exactly the same setup but just a different machine.

I've tried all the different USB and Thunderbolt ports on the back/front of the thing. I've held down Alt when in Display and no more options. Obviously I've tried Shut Downs and Restarts. Is it purely because the monitor is not made by Apple?

Can anyone who knows what they're taking about please help us?

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
