iPhone6 restored from iTunes, but still says 5

I restored my new iPhone6 from backup, but the iTunes still lists it as an iPhone 5, and won't restore the apps.

I have plugged and unplugged several times, and iTunes still says it is an iPhone5

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), iMac 3.4g I7, Nvidia GTX680MX, 32g

It sounds like you may just have the phone named as "iPhone 5". The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great information on how to name your iOS device:
