Q: Touch ID help

I'm trying to setup Touch ID for iTunes and App Store not phone unlock. I select only iTunes & App, enter passcode as the back up option but it still asks for the password when I try to unlock the phone. When I turn the passcode off it turns off the touch ID for iTunes and i'm back where I started.

Can I not get the combination that want?

iPhone 6, iOS 8, iOS8.02

Using Touch ID on iPhone

For sure you need a passcode in order to use touch id. But for what you want to do, I don't think it is possible.

You cannot activate Touch ID without a passcode. You cannot use Touch ID for iTunes without using it for unlocking the phone.
