I installed solidworks on a bootcamp windows 8 on my mbp, but the sizing of the text and boxes and everything look terrible. Words are cut off and the windows are really small. I don't know how to describe it. Does anyone know how to make it look regular?

is the correct video card adaptor driver installed?
what resolution is windows running ?
I don't know if the correct video card adapter driver is installed, I just had bootcamp install whatever it needed to. The resolution is at 2880x1800 which says "recommended"
The 2800x1800 is only supported by the Apple drivers. This is what I get as maximum resolution on the built-in LCD on a 15" rMBP 2013. The default Windows driver is just VGA.
It's a mbp retina late 2013 model. screen size is 15.4". In the image, you can see how small the buttons and words are, and some words are slightly cut off. Also, you can see the dimension area for the extrude (says 0.01 m) is slightly cut off too. And the coordinate system in the middle of the figure is tiny.
Can you post the image using an external image sharing site like IMGUR? Apple Discussions have issues with images.
In you screen, under the words "Selected Contours" there are three 'vertical dots'. If you hover your mouse cursor over it, are you allowed to drag it to the right and expand it?
If there are any view preferences, you may be able to play with them. The current screen seems to be using default values for the layout.
looks like the dpi settings is the issue
make sure it's set to 100 otherwise windows will try to scale text and control sizes and many many many apps
works like **** in higher then 100 dpi scale you change it where you change resolution I believe
if things get too small with your display then you should change res to 1400_900 which is modules 2 of the native res so it will not look as bad as res's which are not
