Change phone numbers associated with imessage

It sounds like you want to change the phone number that you have associated with iMessages on your iPhone. You can do this by first unlinking your phone number from your Apple ID.

You can follow these steps to do so:

Unlink a phone number

To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:

• Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
• Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.

Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple IDpassword.

I had similar issue.

I purchased a new 6s Plus and didn't login to iCloud but login to apple id for the apps purchase.

but surely, i am getting other peoples chat on my phone.

When I log into my Apple ID account from Computer, I see unknown number from the apple ID account.

I remember I sold the phone to 3rd party 6 months ago and happens to be now that I am using imessage since I bought a new phone.

The owner of the iphone user wasn't log into to the iCloud account.

He must go into the message setting from the iphone and login into his icloud acccount.

That removed his phone number from my apple id.
