Unable to connect to Personal Hotspot on Iphone 6? I see the Personal Hotspot option but any other device cannot connect 😟

Oh my goodness, I've been fighting with this for a week after installing 10-3-3 on my 6plus and finally today decided to tether to my laptop and see what I could do. I don't have wifi and use the hotspot from my 6plus on t-mobile and was about to buy a new phone when I ran across this post. I changed my password to all lower case letters and voila - as soon as I did I had 3 connections. One for the tether to my laptop, one for the wifi to laptop and one for wifi to Roku tv!!!!

This doesn’t work. Bottom line is that the latest upgrade to v.11 totally screwed up hotspot for 6s users and Apple doesn’t seem to be too interested in fixing the issue. I have since tried changing my password to all lower case alpha (no numbers of symbols) and my ipad still cannot connect to the hotspot, although it "sees" it. Would be great if someone from Apple actually replied to help

It sounds like you are able to turn on Personal Hotspot but other devices cannot connect to it. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article:

If you encounter an issue using Personal Hotspot with other Wi-Fi devices, try these steps:
- Turn Personal Hotspot off.
- Turn on Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Turn on Personal Hotspot.
- If another device can't join your Wi-Fi network, make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct.
- If the device can't see your Wi-Fi network, check your device name. Windows may not correctly show a device name that uses non-ASCII characters.
- See how many devices are using your Personal Hotspot. Depending on your wireless carrier, the number of Wi-Fi connections may be limited to three devices at once.
- If the other device still can't connect, turn Wi-Fi off and on for the device.
- Make sure that your device can see other Wi-Fi networks.
Note: If you see "Unable to Join" or a timeout error when you try to connect a device using Wi-Fi, remain on the Personal Hotspot screen until the first device connects. After the device connects, you can leave the Personal Hotspot screen and use your iPhone normally. Your device will stop broadcasting Wi-Fi if you put it to sleep or if 90 seconds elapse and no connected devices use Wi-Fi. To share your Wi-Fi network again, tap Settings > Personal Hotspot.

I tried the steps you mentioned but it didn't owrk.
What did work was to take all special and uppercase characters out of the password. So, for e.g if my hotspot password was "BAppLe" I changed it to "bapple" and it worked. I hope this helps someone else too.

Same problem here. Hotspot is killed after the upgrade to v 11 on 6plus.
I agree. My wife and I both have the iPhone 6 and IOS 11 reminds me of Windows Vista..... It looks good on paper but doesn't work in reality.
