Q: Apple Trackpad does not work with 2008 MacPro

My new Apple Trackpad has some features that work OK on my 2008 MacPro.

Howevrt, I cannot scroll with two fingers.

I've zapped the PRAM, repaired disc and permissions, reconnected trackpad, but while this trackpad works fine with my Macbook Pro, the two-finger scroll does not work with my 3GHz 8-Core MacPro from 2008.

I'm buying a new MacPro soon, but for now, this is my main Mac!

Have you tried:
Troubleshooting wireless mouse and keyboard issues

Have you setup the TP in System Preferences>TrackPad?

What OSX version are you running?

Of course . . . tried enabling and disabling each feature but the only thing that doesn't work is two-fingered scrolling in any direction. The Mac just doesn't recognize my fingers moving on the trackpad.
I'm running 10.9.5
Any other suggestions?

Try resetting the SMC and PRAM
