Q: iphone 6 - restart screen with apple logo randomly appears during phone calls

On the new iphone 6 (both 8.0 and 8.02 os) I have the following issue:

1) I am on a phone call  (the phone is either in my hand or sitting on the table (and I am using ear phones))

2) The phone call appears to end (silence on the call)

3) I look at the phone and it appears to be restarting (meaning that I see a black screen with the apple logo)

4) After 3-4 seconds the call will re-engage and the screen goes back to normal

 

This is not related (best I can tell) to proximity related issues as (a) the screen is the restart screen (it is not blank - it has the apple logo) (b) I seem to lose the call for a about 3-4 seconds ...

 

This appears inconsistently - some days I will have no issues while on other days it will happen once or twice in a day - it doesn't appear to be linked to any particular phone number, time of day or other environmental factors.

 

I have restarted the phone a couple of times but it re-emerges.

    This issue has only just started happening to me (iPhone 6; iOS 8.1.2), also on long conference calls. I'm on WebEx - is that a common link?

    Same problem with IOS 8.1.3. I've done a complete reset and the problem remains.

    I have similar problem. The restart screen with Apple logo appear randomly during call, when I open application. I didn't have this problem in previos IOS (8.1) now when I'm using IOS 8.2 this problem started.

     

    Can anybody suggest a solution other that factory rest?

    I am also experiencing this issue where the screen goes black, followed by the apple logo then the phone comes back to lockscreen within 10 or 20 seconds. I have an iPhone 6 (64gb, on Verizon), running iOS 8.3 in June 2015. It seems to happen more frequently for me after installing app updates.

    I have exactly the same problem. I wonder how you guys fix it.

     

    I called apple support. This is the first time I feel that they suck! What this person, whose name is Micheal, told me is, I either take risk of being charged by a new device or have nothing to use during the repair time. It depends on if you are using their replacement phone. However, if the problem is under warranty, they would give you the new device. But in any case, you have to pay 30 dollars shipping fee, even it's caused by problems under warranty.

     

    I wonder if this problem is caused by reasons under warranty or not.
