Q: Improve WIFI Connection

I have access to my neighbors WIFI connection. But I'm getting marginal reception. How can I get better performance ??

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.

Start up in Safe Mode.

Thanks for the reply. The issue is the signal drops off. Can I add an USB WIFI antenna on my macbook ??

Dominic, thanks again. The diags just tell me to get closer to the router. I'm about 30' away from it, that's as close as I can get to it.
What do you think about some type of antenna or an extender ??

You can use an AirPort Express as a range extender, if it is compatible with your ISP's modem/router.

Check with your ISP before buying any new equipment.
