Oct 8, 2014 1:01 PM in response to crizzolaby LaPastenague,★HelpfulTake it home with you one night.. with permission.. stick it on your network and try again without the proxy.
I am guessing the use of the proxy is required in the work place.. sometimes you need to get the apple router out of that situation so it can be updated.
There is no work around I can figure.. if you are blocked. And you cannot download the firmware without the airport being involved.

Oct 9, 2014 4:42 AM in response to crizzolaby LaPastenague,If you or any of your work colleagues has a AE AC model at home.. their laptop would already have the firmware sitting on it.. and as long as you select the right one it should work.. if they upgraded their hardware with that laptop.
In one way the nice thing with Apple is the sheer limited amount of hardware there is..
Apple have just one AC model AE.. the latest firmware is 7.7.3 AFAIK.. I stay away from latest AC products as they are troublesome.
