I keep getting my moms iMessage on my laptop even though we aren't on the same apple id, how do i get rid of her messages?

When I first got my laptop my mom and I shared an apple id but then I got my own. Even after i changed my apple id to mine on my computer, for some reason I keep getting her IMessage's on my laptop and not my own. I would like help to know how i can stop getting her messages sent to my laptop. I made sure none of her accounts are in my internet accounts in settings. Also I would like to know if there is any way you can add a phone number in internet accounts in settings?

Thank you very much!

Make sure you changed the ID that you are using for iMessage. Open the Messages app and go to Messages>Preferences>Accounts, select your iMessage account on the left, then check the Apple ID to the right. If it's your Mom's, sign out, then sign back in with your ID.

You can only add a phone number if you are using the same Apple ID for iMessage on an iPhone. If you are, the phone number should automatically be added when you sign into the ID.
