Apple WatchHi ..
- Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, MacKeeper, and anti virus software, can prevent updates from downloading
- Disable anti virus software if installed
- Check the firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options
- Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

I checked for these types of apps - none installed
FW is off
No AV installed
Gatekeeper is turned on.
I still get the same error when trying to update my apps.
