Trying to text someone but getting a Not Delivered Message Failure error. Yet that person can text me without any problems. Also that person can send and receive msgs from others, all on same carrier. All with iPhones 5. Any ideas why this would be?

To what contact are you sending the message? Email? Mobile number? Be sure they have added any email address that you might be sending to to their iMessage profile. They should check in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.

If this does't happen with anyone else, it may be a problem with his contact on your iPhone - or maybe even on his end. Try deleting his contact and adding it again. If that doesn't work, it may be his issue, not yours.
Thanks again. Yes, I deleted the contact on my end and just input the number from scratch. Same thing. It's strange, because everyone else gets my texts, I get everyone else's, he gets mine AND everyone else's...I just can't send a text to him. He says he does not have my contact blocked. I'm going to take a look at his phone and see if maybe deleting my contact on his phone helps out...I just can't figure it out.

I am sending a text message to their Mobile number, or when even responding to a text message from his mobile number. I believe this is happening with both SMS or iMessage. This started a few months ago. Prior to that, no problem, though my messages always took an extremely long time to get to him.
