Oct 14, 2014 8:16 PM in response to Rob B. Campbellby Claudio Sanchez1,Check that /Library/Preferences/Xsan exists. If not, "mkdir /Library/Preferences/Xsan".
Check that Xsan is enabled on the MBP. Also check that xsand is running but fsmpm is not. If fsmpm is already running, the client is already configured for Xsan. You'll need to do something like "xsanctl wipeConfig && xsanctl sanConfigChanged" on the MBP to delete its configs. Or rename the existing /Library/Preferences/Xsan directory, create a new one, and reboot.
Check that /Library/Preferences/com.apple.xsanmgrd.plist exists. If you delete that file, there's no way to get it back, other than copying it from another system. Without that file, xsanmgrd won't launch and Xsan Admin won't be able to pull the strings to make the client configure itself.
