Q: Touch ID on iPhone 5S 8.0.2 stopped working

I upgraded my iPhone 5S a week or two ago to 8.0.2 and my Touch ID has worked just fine... until this morning. I used it a few times just fine, then by the time I got to work, the Touch ID was no longer working. When I go into Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode and the hit the toggle to turn on iPhone Unlock, it takes me to a screen that reads "FAILED. Unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back and try again." There is no delete option and the option to Add a Fingerprint is greyed out. What has happened to my phone?!?
