Text notification banner stays on and won't go away until I touch it.

When texting with person A and I get an additional text or any other notification (from twitter or favstar for instance) the banner notification stays at the top of the screen until I "answer" it.. maddening. I just want it to notify me for a second that I have another text and go away. This also happens even if I am surfing the web and I get a text message. It won't go away. I have to swipe it and read it..

This only started happening after the iOS 8 update.

Thanks!

Rob

Try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). See if that resolves the issue.
