My iPad mini bluetooth won't find my device

My iPad mini bluetooth won't find my bluetooth keyboard.
I have tried turning it off and on, a hard reset and resting the settings. My software is up to date (iOS 8.0.2) and the keyboard it brand new.
Please help!

I know that it can be very frustrating when you are not able to pair your Bluetooth devices as expected. In your situation I understand that your iPad is not even seeing the keyboard.
