Q: VoIP (Skype, Facetime, Line, Viber) problems with cellular network on Iphone 6

Hello,

 

I have following problem with my new iphone 6:

When I am making a call over Skype, Facetime or similar VoIP apps over cellular network I get stable connection for only 3-5 seconds. After this I get laggy, unstable and unusable connection and can only hear some snatches of conversation.

 

Some additional informations:

- stable connection: no problems with calls and downloads

- no problems on using Skype with WiFi

- stable LTE network

- no problems with other phones

- enough memory and storage

- tried already to reset phone and tested with only one App

 

 

Does anybody have the same problem? It would be nice if someone could help.

    After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning the restore process. You may want to consider a restore to factory setting to resolve the issue you mentioned:

     

    Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

    I am now facing a problem of the other party only hears static noises instead of my voice when using the video call mode. I also found that it is not ok when I tested it via the self dial testing service for skype. I downloaded other apps like Tango and also the Wechat that also have the video dial mode and face the same issues. I resetted my phone and restored it and still is unable to resolve the problem.I don't knoe what else can I do to resolve this problem. Appreciate if someone has faced the same problem and have it resolved and to share with me the solution. Thanks a million.

    Did you find any solution to this problem ? I am facing the same problem and tried everything but nothing seems to be working as of now. Please advise if you found solution to it !
