You cannot open the phone to remove the battery. It is not user serviceable. Try turning the phone off. If that does not work, then next try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo on the screen and then release. The phone will reboot and it should have turned it off.
Slide you thumb or finger up from the bottom of the screen and the Control Panel will open with a Flashlight Symbol showing at the lower left. Try taping that Flashlight and see if the light turns off. It is not your Flashlight App it is the Standard Flashlight.
You have probably accidentally turned on "flashlight". Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to display Control Center. Tap the flashlight icon on the far left.

Connect the phone to the computer and iTunes and restore it.
