Q: My iPhone 6 Touchscreen becomes unresponsive occasionally?

When I'm using my iPhone 6 the touchscreen will just stop responding but the phone still responds to the home button and the lock button. It can happen when I'm using any app even the stock apps on the phone itself.

Here's an example: I'll pull down the Notification Centre and then the touchscreen just stops and I can't swipe it back up again, but if I press the home button iOS still functions and dismisses Notification Centre. It takes the touch screen however a good couple of seconds to respond again after.

Another example would be in Twitter, I'll be scrolling down the Timeline and the screen will just stop responding and stop scrolling. Almost like the app is freezing.

This happens on a variety of apps: Messages, Camera, Facebook, Twitter.... just to name a few.

Any Ideas?

I can't see how it would be a hardware issue however, but I won't be happy if it is. It's only a week old.

A day after this, the Touchscreen completely stopped and therefore I had to take it back to the Apple Store to get it replaced! Couldn't fault Apple's Customer Service and support for everything with this issue! Got it completely replaced and set up again all in store.

    Hi,

I went to the Apple store today and I was notified that this is becoming a widespread problem. The ic chip stops functioning, so what they do is say that you can pay $300 and they will give you a replacement (refurbished) iPhone 6. I had my phone for a year, then the screen broke, and I paid for a replacement. So my phone has lasted LESS THAN A YEAR and it is now unresponsive. Apple should really do this replacement for free. I would not be surprised if they have to issue a recall.
