Why did random pictures pop up in my iPhone photo album?

Okay so the weirdest most random thing happened. 3 random pictures from a year and 2 years ago popped up out of no where into my photo library. They weren't even pictures I would have saved somewhere. One was a screenshot and 2 were just random accidental pictures. Anyone have an idea why or how this happened?

Your phone may have suffered some sort of directory glitch. If this keeps happening, I suggest doing a reset:

Try this - Reset by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
