Oct 11, 2014 2:27 PM in response to wegrasby cxatter,MAny thanks for this but it's not Touch ID that's an issue. When you start your phone in the morning you use Touch ID and it then asks for a pass code. 4 digits. No problems. But I am now getting asked for my Apple id after both these things before I can use my phone. I have had iphone 4, 4s 5s and now 6 this is the 1st time I have been asked for my Apple id every morning on boot up.

Oct 11, 2014 2:39 PM in response to cxatterby Ralph9430,When you say, "each morning on start up," are you saying that you had powered off the phone the night before? Anytime the phone is either powered off then powered back on or is reset you will have to enter the 4 digit passcode that first time you unlock the phone. Also the first time you need your Apple ID for something, like the download or purchase of an app, you will have to enter your Apple ID password instead of using Touch ID. I leave my phone on all night with the screen off and when I unlock it in the morning the Touch ID will work.

Oct 11, 2014 2:48 PM in response to Ralph9430by cxatter,Yes I turn my phone off overnight. I understand that I need my 4 digit passcode on start up however before I do anything else with my phone the very second I have entered my 4 digit code I am asked then for my Apple id password. So I don't get as far as doing anything else before I do these 3 steps each morning. One all 3 steps have been completed I can then use my phone as normal.
