I have an external hard drive with only 6-pin firewire ports. I need connect it to a Thunderbolt port, but can't find any adapter or cable that will do this. Any ideas how I can make this happen?

First you need a > MD464ZM/A Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter which converts Thunderbolt to 9-pin FireWire 800.
Then for 6-pin FireWire 400 devices, you also need an adapter or cable to go from FireWire 800 to FireWire 400.

The only adaptor so can find are for 9-pin FireWire and I have a 6-pin. Do you know where I can get a 6-pin FireWire to Tunderbolt adapter?

There may not be one. I don't know. You will just need to do your own Google searching. If you can't find one, then get a 9-pin to 6-pin adaptor you can use with a Firewire-Thunderbolt adaptor.
