MacBook Lap Tray?

Their are quite a few products out their, just do a google search for Laptop Coolers or Laptop External Fans. But I wouldn't recommend it using any of them, the amount of movement which occurs on your lap is bad for the Hard Drive.

I've been using an ANTEC cooler. It works very well. While it doesn't cool the CPU temperture, it absolutely cools the bottom of the Macbook case. You can find this little gadget here:

Bear in mind that, if you're simply looking for something to set the machine on, a USB powered anything is going to draw power from the battery (if only a little), if you're not plugged in (thus reducing the life of the charge).

Buy a nice cutting board and paint it to your liking 🙂

I do use one from Titianum (it broke quite quickly so now I just let the machine sit on top of it without the fans), but don't put the machine in your lap. I don't know why notebooks were ever marketed to be used on your lap. First you had the problem of it damaging hard drives, and now its the heating. A better option might be to buy a laptop desk which you can slide close up your body. I saw a great one at Ikea.
