Epson Stylus Pro 9800, Mac OS 10.9.5, Epson Driver 9.17

I got a new MacBook Pro and I'm trying to print to our Epson Stylus Pro 9800 using Epson's latest driver 9.17 using the USB port.

The printer shows up fine when I configure the printer. When I click the test page button from the print utility, the printer prints a test page. But when I try to print an image from preview or Photoshop, the print job processes very fast sends the data to the printer. But compared to past jobs on my old MacBook, it happens too fast. Well, the printer does not even react to the print job.

I tried different images, uninstalled the Epson software, reinstalled the software, noting.

Any ideas out there?

Try some generic maintenance - Reset the Printing System:

OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system

If that doesn't help, try a Safe Boot, which does some system repairs:

OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

(after boot is complete, just restart normally)

Thanks for the hint. But it was user error on my part. I had 48inch paper with selected instead of 44 inch. And the answer from the printer was not an error but just to ignore the job.
