Ipod Nano 7th gen Warranty Length?

How long is the warranty on the 7th Gen Nanos? Purchased one for my mother last Christmas and its having issues randomly shuffling songs>when I say randomly I mean it doesn't complete some songs then shuffles to another song and does this repeatedly. Sometimes it will play 5 songs then shuffle in the middle of the next song. And no shuffle is not selected.
