Q: Can Apple ID be used in non-Apple applications?
Hi,
Can Apple ID be used in non-Apple applications?
I mean like Facebook or Twitter account on non-Facebook or non-Twitter apps. It would be rather convenient.

Yes, actually, your Apple ID is another form of an email account (such as gmail, yahoo, hotmail, ect.).
No, your Apple ID is not another form of email account. It is a user name (which happens to be an email address) and a password. These credentials are used to log into various Apple Services. Your Apple ID cannot be used to log into Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. You may use the same email address as your username for those services and, if you don't care about security, you could use the same password as you do on your Apple ID.
You may be referring to an iCloud email address. That is another email address. It may or may not be your Apple ID. My Apple ID username happens to be my gmail address. Before that, it was my Earthlink address.
