Q: Ipad 2 camera not working

My daughters ipad 2 camera has stopped working, there is a black screen when you open the camera and on the camera apps the message appears to turn on the camera in the privacy settings but it is already turned on. Also the battery percentage isn't showing but this is also turned on. I have updated the software to the latest one and tried a reset but still having the same problems. Has anyone any idea if this can be fixed.
