Keyboard shortcut to focus on Finder window sidebar?

I'm looking for a keyboard shortcut to move the focus in a Finder window from the files and folders portion of the window to the sidebar of the same window. For example, in Column View, the left arrow key moves the focus left from one column to the next, but will not move from the leftmost column to the sidebar. Also, if the focus is placed in the sidebar using a mouse click, a right or down arrow moves the focus to the first column in the files and folders part of the window, but there does not seem to be a way to go back to the sidebar using the keyboard. I don't see a way to do this in Automator or Quickeys, either.

Hi, William.

I recently discussed that issue in this post in point 2. Unfortunately, there's no way to do this that I've found, and not for lack of trying. The current implementation of the Sidebar appears to be exclusively for use with the mouse. Not even VoiceOver recognizes selections in the Sidebar.

I suggest you submit a Mac OS X Feedback.

Good luck!
