iOS 8.02 not connecting to car

My blue tooth in Audi A6 works well with iPhone 6plus but does not stay connected when I try to use playlists or Pandora? It does play my podcasts!

latest model imac -OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8), core processor i5

Start by doing this

Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

iOS: Troubleshooting car stereo connections

Some car stereos require a firmware update for AVRCP 1.4 Bluetooth compatibility

Would like to understand why my podcasts play with no problem and this problem with playing my playlists and trying to access pandora occurred last week. It is a pain to restore iPhone to factory setting and do touch ID again, etc.

Will this problem be fixed when IOS 8.1 comes out?
