How do I export movies from iPhone to PC

I captured my daughter's wedding on my iPhone 5 as a 6 minute video. It is too large to mail to myself but I'd like to export it to my PC then burn it onto a CD. I don't own a Mac or any other device (other than my PC) than is capable of burning a CD.

What I've tried:

  • I tried iTunes but I cannot even see the movie. All I can see are the photos.
  • I connected my iPhone to my PC using the cable but cannot see the iPhone anymore. I used to see the iPhone as a Removable Device and could navigate to the photos/movies but some update changed that and I cannot see it anymore

I need to know what my other options are. I'm using iOS 7.1.2 on my iPhone 5, have not upgraded to 8.0.2 yet.

Thanks in advance!

Mark

iTunes is only used to transfer photos/videos to the phone, not the other direction.

The following has instructions for transferring to the computer: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

If that isn't working (and it sounds like it isn't), the following may help: iOS: Unable to import photos to computer

Another option would be to use a 3rd party app such as: http://www.photosync-app.com
