Thanks Allan. Sorry to confuse you about my computer.
I have a MacBook Pro, purchased by myself in early 2008; operating system 10.8.5
When I try to sync my iPhone 5 to my MacBook Pro I keep getting the message:
"This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Roy Johnson’s iPhone”.
Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?"
When I click the "Authorize" button I get the drop down menu to enter my Apple ID password.
The problem is, the password demanded is to an old email address I only used one year after
buying the MacBook Pro in 2008. My old address is listed as:
"drroy21@mac.com"
Again, I no longer have or us that email address. My current email address is a "gmail" address.
When I enter my old "@mac.com" password, presented is:
"This computer is already authorized."
I click "OK". Then am presented the following message:
"This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Roy Johnson’s iPhone”.
Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?"
I'm suck in an endless loop and don't know how to extricate myself from it.
Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks.
