Q: Share files with different Apple id's

Hello,

I use one Apple id at work and another at home. Now I use Dropbox to send a file from work to home and vice versa. When Yosemite is released I would like to do same with iCloud Drive. Can it be done?

See Apple's FAQ: iCloud Drive FAQ

iCloud Drive is bound to one Apple ID. To use it like a Dropbox you will have to use the same AppleID on all devices. Perhaps create a second user account with your private AppleID on your work computer.

On my home computer I have created a user with the same Apple ID as work. I nearly never log in to it hough. Maybe I could create an alias from the iCloud Drive folder to the shared folder? Then I wouldn't have log out and log in to the work user.

We cannot yet discuss the details how iCloud drive will be mounted on Yosemite systems, sorry. Our community hosts will remove any information posted here that requires developer knowledge. Please wait for the public Yosemite release on October 16.
