Q: Will This Work: Boot Windows 10 Preview DVD or Flashdrive Installer Then Delete Current Boot Camp Partition To Install Windows 10?

Hi. Will the description on the title work? Do I need to boot to Snow Leopard (or an OS after that including Yosemite) then erase the current Boot Camp partition with Boot Camp Assistant, then partition it again with Assistant to install Windows 10 Preview which is on DVD? Or can I just boot right away to the Windows 10 DVD then delete the boot camp partition to install Windows 10?

Thank you in advance.

Windows 10 preview is not supported. No drivers. And, if it did work you would have to follow the Boogt Camp installation instructions.

If you have space enough in Boot Camp, you can (Disk Mgmt) Shrink it to add Partition where another windows OS can be installed.

I've Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 or Tech Preview on a drive separate from Mac OS in a 2008 Mac Pro.

I burned to DVD for install, booting Option key to that DVD. Had trouble with Boot Camp install until I used Original for this Mac and upgraded where necessary from later versions.

    Lots of fun.

You should not resize Windows or OSX if it is installed on a single disk Mac. From Boot Camp 5.1: Frequently asked questions

How can a Windows partition be resized after Windows is installed?

You need to delete the Windows partition using the Boot Camp Assistant, and start over to change the size of the Windows partition. Back up your important Windows files first.
